Our Founders:

Benedict Lai (Hong Kong, China)

Founder and Managing Director & Principal Consultant - Greater China of Broadbrand, Benedict has decades of consultancy, corporate, board management and top executive exposure in Greater China having led to great success numerous leading global consumer brands.

Benedict holds a BBA and a M.Sc. (Hons) degree in Marketing (National University of Ireland) and in the last 25 years been heading the Sealy and Simmons (the worldwide two largest bedding groups) operation in greater China, and few other global brands in the luxury jewelry; fine china; bedding and furniture sectors.

Ben has extensive experience in China and specializes in brand management; organization development and team building and in particular strategic planning, brand crafting and corporate reengineering.

Jeremy Waller (London, UK)

Jeremy is the Director and Partner of Broadbrand. He is a business development and procurement strategy consultant in variety professions such as furniture, bedding, lighting etc. and also a director of a London based procurement and technical liaison office for an engineering and contracting group in Iraq, Atlas technical Group, in addition to his directorship of 2 UK based firms, specializing in helping groups develop & execute procurement from low cost countries, mainly (but not exclusively) in the furnishings and construction materials sector. Prior to working in consulting, Jeremy was responsible, over 25 years as managing director or senior VP for several major businesses in Asia, including management roles in Inchcape Engineering, Simmons Asia (furnishings), Tai Ping carpets, and Shui On Construction. These roles included operational responsibility for distribution and product development, retailing, wholesale trade, and in most cases manufacturing & procurement. Jeremy holds BA (Hons.) Marketing (Engineering) degrees and C & G MET 293 (Production Engineering). Having worked on both sides of the supply chain, he brings a valuable insight on developing a structured approach to business development in USA, Europe, Middle East and Asia. Jeremy uses an effective structured, step by step approach to consulting, with clear milestones and measurable results; Jeremy’s approach is to work within a framework agreed with the client’s management, with regular review and debate, to generate results which are practical, and achievable by the client and assist in implementation on a tactical basis where needed.
